Starting off from Syntagma square, where the heart of Athens city beats for 200 years now, we head east towards the slopes of the mountain that the Roman poet Ovid praised for its aromatic plants and flowers.
Past the small monastery of Kessariani and a spring renowned in the ancient world for its curative properties, we continue our way up – 10 kilometers climb with 800 meters elevation gain in total – leaving urban life behind yet being so close to the city. Breathtaking panoramic views all the way to the top where we will stop for a while for water and photos!
