Mount Lycabettus

Lycabettus, a limestone hill created by goddess Athena…

Our meeting point is in the National Garden of Athens, in front of Zappeion Megaron, the first building in the modern world to be constructed in order to serve Olympic needs.

Past the Panathenaic Stadium and after only a few kilometers in urban road network, Mount Lycabettus comes in sight. An uphill of one kilometer with two steep turns will bring us to the highest top of the city (300 m above sea level), where the view over Athens is indisputably worth the ride. Our guide will share a couple of legends related to Lycabettus since the prehistoric era and we are off for the city.
